An American psychologist who specialises in debunking witchcraft travels to England, where he becomes dangerously intertwined with a nefarious cult, in Tourneur’s (surprisingly direct) horror film, which, despite some rather camp moments and a slightly weak central performance, proves to be an atmospherically entertaining little film.
