Waititi’s feature debut, depicting a low-key romance between a pair of social misfits, is afflicted with the same cruel, patronising humour that made Napoleon Dynamite (2004) all but unwatchable, but luckily, Eagle vs Shark has enough heart and genuinely funny moments to make it just about palatable.
