This pleasingly low-key production, filled with attractively subtle performances and agreeable surface detail, chronicling the fib-telling, infamous, former journalist Stephen Glass’s undoing, despite its obvious entertaining qualities, never really gets under the skin of its ethically dubious protagonist.
