Haynes’s dazzling sort-of biopic, painting a portrait of Bob Dylan by way of six different actors playing characters inspired by a number of elements of the singer’s personality and from varying stages of his career, is an intelligent, moving, funny, and beautiful reinterpretation of the man and, perhaps more importantly, or at least more interestingly, of the art form itself.
