The dazzling use of split-screen, the brave, naturalistic performances of Bonham Carter and Eckhart, and Zevin’s surprising, insightful, and beautifully structured screenplay ensure that Canosa’s wonderful film, an unflinching examination of a brief encounter between a man and a woman at a wedding reception, is not only brilliant, but also really rather moving.
