Though rather juvenile and often very, very silly, Leiner’s stoner comedy – depicting the misadventures of a pair of Asian-Americans experiencing the munchies, who set out into the night on a quest to find a White Castle restaurant – is, never the less, also very, very funny, and, in its depiction of cultural roles and the influence of advertising and popular culture, it is also deceptively perceptive.
